To inspire a future generation of PhDs and encourage children to engage in
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, we created Labracadabra.
Instead of simply fulfilling the client’s request of video,
we remembered that it was the field trip not the classroom –
the experiment not the lecture that excites students.
Our cross-platform launch included everything from thumb-stopping videos
(to fill that media buy) to comprehensive material kits that give families all they need
to create a real lab at home. Purchase a kit on Amazon and use our Alexa skill
to walk you through it. Or just watch our mesmerizing videos in your feed.
Featured on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Pinterest, the series racked up
both impressions and views: 15MM across platforms, with a community of fans
50,000 strong in the first 6 weeks.
Not only did Labracadabra immediately become featured as a trending skill,
and gain earned media in the form of PR and headlines in even consumer publications.
The best part? Thousands of future scientists rolled up their lab coat sleeves for the first time.
The campaign lived across multiple platforms
Videos drove purchase of five different experiment kits available on Amazon,
which had all the ingredients and tools necessary to complete at home, using Alexa as a guide.
Alexa was standing by to walk you through it.
